PS5 'Ratchet & Clank' Portal Lisboa - Milão

To celebrate the launch of the game Ratchet & Clank: A Dimension Apart and in partnership with Playstation Portugal, Playstation Italy and Last Lap, I developed an illustration depicting a dimensional portal between Piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan and MAAT in Lisbon-, overlooking the 25 de Abril bridge. While I developed the Italian location, an Italian illustrator developed the Portuguese one.
It was approximately 6x4 meters and invites the viewer to participate in an optical illusion, using anamorphic perspective. A technique that is usually applied using a projector and painted on location, but which in this case it was extra challenging as it had to be completely digitally pre-calculated to generate an image for printing.

Para celebrar o lançamento do jogo Ratchet & Clank: Uma Dimensão à Parte e em parceria com a Playstation Portugal, Playstation Itália e a Last Lap, desenvolvi a ilustração de um portal dimensional entre a Piazza Gae Aulenti em Milão e o nosso MAAT, com vista para a ponte 25 de Abril. Enquanto desenvolvi a localização italiana, um ilustrador italiano desenvolveu a portuguesa.
Tinha aproximadamente 6x4 metros e convida o espectador a participar numa ilusão de ótica, utilizando perspectiva anamórfica. Uma técnica que normalmente é aplicada usando um projector e pintada no localmente mas que neste caso foi extra desafiante pois teve que ser totalmente pré-calculada digitalmente para gerar uma imagem para impressão.
